Training

The Library and Knowledge Service offers one-to-one and group training on how to find the evidence. The training can be delivered virtually, in the Library (at Nightingale House) or the Clinical and Outreach Librarian can travel to your place of work.

Training will cover:

  • Creating an OpenAthens account 
  • Accessing databases
  • Planning your evidence search and defining your keywords
  • Searching with MESH headings
  • How to use Boolean operators (AND/OR) in your search
  • Limiting your search to get more precise results
  • Selecting and saving your results
  • Creating an alert to inform you of new papers on your topic
