NEW RESOURCE on Writing for Publication

Published Date: 24th May 2023

Are you writing up a research project or audit for publication? Turning your conference abstract into a journal article? Or trying to get a case report published? Then have a look at the new national Writing for Publication Resource. Here you will find links, information and answers on all stages of publication – from planning your article and finding the right journal to peer review and promoting your work after it has been published.

We also have links to lots of other helpful writing resources on our library website at: https://www.knowledge-nw.nhs.uk/writing-for-publication.

You can also contact your Clinical Librarian by emailing the Library at library@sthk.nhs.uk if you would like more help or have any further questions about publishing your work.

And don’t forget! If you are writing up a case report, we have an institutional account with BMJ Case Reports, which means you can submit and publish your cases with them free of charge.

You can find links to BMJ Case Reports author guidelines here on our website: https://www.knowledge-nw.nhs.uk/writing-for-publication.

And you can email the library at library@sthk.nhs.uk for our institution number once you are ready to submit your case for publication.
