Launch of our new website

Since our last Library Survey we’ve been working hard to bring you a new and improved website. You’ll see we’ve updated the overall look of the site and have a brand new logo, but our main aim has been to improve our current awareness service. You’ll be able to customise our new Knowledge Alerts so that you receive the information you want, when and where you want it. We also wanted to make it easier to access the resources that you use most frequently as well as improve how the site works and looks on your mobile devices.
It has been a lot of work over the past 12 months by all involved, but we’re excited to finally announce the launch of the new website.

Have a look – explore the site, try out the new features and let us know what you think.
You can now use your NHS OpenAthens Account to personalise your Knowledge Alerts so that you will only receive alerts for the topics you select. You can also choose how frequently you receive Knowledge Alert emails - daily, weekly, monthly (or never if you prefer just to look at them on the website). We think you’ll agree this is a big improvement 
On the front page we’ve now given you links to the resources and services our library users use the most - including UpToDate, BMJ Best Practice, your full text journals and our online journal and book request service.
And there is still easy access to the rest of our online resources (including HDAS and the medical databases), library training (Information skills), the clinical and outreach service, our literature search service (Finding the evidence) and more…
We have also added a brand new ‘About Us’ page, with maps to the library and a frequently asked questions section to help new library members.
You can keep up to date with our latest developments and news of new books and resources by signing up to the What’s New library blog if you haven’t already. Don’t forget you can always follow us on Facebook and Twitter as well.
