Deaf Awareness Week 2025

Deaf Awareness Week 2025 runs between the 5th and 11th of May.

‘Deaf Awareness Week is an annual event that aims to raise awareness about the Deaf community, our language, culture, and history.’ (British Deaf Association).

Mersey & West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is hosting a number of Deaf Awareness training sessions over the coming months. Sessions are available at Southport, Whiston and Ormskirk hospitals on the following dates:

•    15/05/2025 - Southport Hospital
•    12/06/2025 - Southport Hospital 
•    17/06/2025 - Whiston Hospital
•    10/07/2025 - Ormskirk Hospital
•    15/07/2025 - Whiston Hospital
•    11/09/2025 - Southport Hospital
•    16/10/2025 - Southport Hospital
•    13/11/2025 - Ormskirk Hospital 

To register for these training sessions search for ‘deaf awareness’ in the ‘My Learning’ section of ESR.
