Summer Reading Challenge 2025
Published Date: 30th June 2025
Did you know, that according to the Reading Agency, reading for pleasure can increase empathy, improve relationships with others, reduce the symptoms of depression and the risk of dementia, and improve wellbeing throughout life?
With this in mind, why not take part in our Summer Reading Challenge? To take part all you need to do is borrow and read 3 of our fiction books.
Then, let us know what you thought about the books by filling out a Summer Reading Passport (you can pick one of these up from the library desk, or print out your own from the file here https://www.knowledge-nw.nhs.uk/media/news/2025Document/SummerFictionPassport2025.pdf.
We’re looking forward to seeing what you read and enjoy and will be sharing your reviews on our social media accounts throughout the summer. Keep an eye on our
https://www.facebook.com/MWLNHSLibrary/, and

accounts to see what your colleagues and library staff have been reading too.
Bring in your completed passport to the library to get it stamped by 7th September to enter our prize draw for a £20 Amazon voucher.
We’d also love if you’d snap a selfie with a favourite fiction title and share on socials with the tag #MWLSummerSelfie.
