Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL)
The CINAHL database is a comprehensive source of information for nurses, allied health professionals and other interested in health care. Search using HDAS (NHS OpenAthens login needed).

Clinical Knowledge Summaries
Clinical Knowledge Summaries (CKS) are produced by NICE and provide primary care practitioners with a readily accessible summary of the current evidence base and practical guidance on best practice in respect of over 330 common and/or significant primary care presentations.

The service is regularly maintained and upgraded as and when significant new evidence emerges

Cochrane Library
High quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making.  It includes reliable evidence from Cochrane and other systematic reviews, clinical trials and more.

EMBASE
Embase is a highly versatile, multipurpose and up-to-date biomedical research database. It covers the most important international biomedical literature from 1947 to the present day. Search using HDAS (NHS OpenAthens login needed)

EMCARE
Emcare is a nursing and allied health bibliographic database published by Elsevier, indexing over 3,500 international journals from 1995 onwards. Search using HDAS (NHS OpenAthens login needed)

Evidence Search Health and Social Care 
A collection of guidelines for the NHS, based on the guidelines produced by NICE and other national agencies.  The main focus of the Library is on guidelines produced in the UK, but where no UK guideline is available, guidelines from other countries are included in the collection.

‘Fit for Travel’

The MEDLINE database is produced by the US National Library of Medicine that contains more than 26 million references to journal articles. The subject scope of MEDLINE is biomedicine and health, broadly defined to encompass those areas of the life sciences, behavioural sciences, chemical sciences, and bioengineering needed by health professionals and others engaged in basic research and clinical care, public health, health policy development, or related educational activities. Pedro
PEDro is the Physiotherapy Evidence Database produced by The Centre of Evidence-Based Physiotherapy at the School of Physiotherapy, University of Sydney. The database has been developed to give rapid access to bibliographic details and abstracts of randomised controlled trials, systematic reviews and evidence-based clinical practice guidelines in physiotherapy

Prospero
International database of prospectively registered systematic reviews in health and social care. This database will provide a comprehensive listing of systematic reviews registered at inception, and enable comparison of reported review findings with what was planned in the protocol

PsycArticles
This database offers full-text articles for journals published by the American Psychological Association, the APA Educational Publishing Foundation, the Canadian Psychological Association and Hogrefe & Hube.
