Important information - Healthcare Databases Advanced Search (HDAS) Closure

Published Date: 08th March 2022

Healthcare Databases Advanced Search (HDAS) will close down on 31 March 2022 and database searches will then be available from the provider’s websites using their own search platforms. We’ll be telling you more about that over the next few weeks and offering training on the new search interfaces.

For those of you who have saved searches or alerts on HDAS under your own OpenAthens account, we recommend that you export them to the new platforms before it disappears.

To find out how to do this you can see the instructions and a ‘how to’ video at https://www.nice.org.uk/about/what-we-do/evidence-services/journals-and-databases/hdas-closure-information.

You can also get in touch with the LKS staff if you need any help with this.

Links to databases via the providers' websites can be found on the Databases page https://www.knowledge-nw.nhs.uk/databases on this website .
