UK Disability History Month

Published Date: 22nd November 2023

UK Disability History Month (UKDHM) is an annual event, which began in 2010, creating a platform to focus on the history of the struggle for equality and human rights.

There is a lot going on during the month - both locally and nationally and you can find out about online and in person events, podcasts, videos and other resources on the Trust EDI pages on the intranet here or you can see our PDF guide here.

The Trust is running:

  • a quiz (with a prize!),
  • training sessions for line managers to learn about Reasonable Adjustments and Adjustment Passport Books, and
  • drop in sessions for anyone with a disability who wants advice on reasonable adjustments and the options available to them.

Keep a close eye on the Trust Intranet EDI pages for blogs and more, and follow them on X (formerly Twitter) @MWL_Inclusion and watch out for posts all month on the Team MWL Facebok page.
