Abstract
During the first wave of the pandemic, I was working as a diabetes specialist nurse at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. When seeing patients face to face was deemed too high risk, a lot of my clinical practice shifted to remote working, with patient consultations carried out virtually. Thanks to technical advances, I could accurately review my patient’s blood glucose levels in real time using a cloud-based system while consulting with the patient via a video clinic.
